No fake urgency
We will not tell you to buy now or lose forever. The tools we recommend will still exist next month.
The Manifesto
Hate AI. Use it anyway.
This is not a product pitch. It is a position. We think the hype around AI is dead, and we think that is actually good news for you.
The AI hype cycle promised a replacement for human thinking by 2026. That promise has failed. What remains is a set of tools that are genuinely useful, wildly over-hyped, and mostly rented rather than owned.
We are not anti-AI. We are anti-hype, anti-subscription-fatigue, and anti-the-idea-that-you-need-experts-to-use-a-tool. If you have a problem that can be solved by a small local model and a weekend of tinkering, we will show you how. If a $20/month SaaS product saves you an hour a week, we will tell you when it is worth it.
If a vendor is selling you a $50,000 AI transformation, we will ask what the last three months actually changed. If a headline says “AI will replace your job,” we will look at what the job actually did this year.
Our principles
We will not tell you to buy now or lose forever. The tools we recommend will still exist next month.
Every claim is tied to a reachable, dated source. If we cannot verify it, we cut it.
If a local tool does the job, we show you how to build it. Renting is the fallback, not the first option.
If you hate AI, you are not behind. You are just being honest. Use it when it helps, ignore it when it does not.
