The AI shelf has a payment rail now.
Your business just needs to be on it.

Mastercard's Agent Connect and Meta's Muse launched this week. AI agents can now find products, build carts, and check out — across networks. But agents can only buy from businesses they can read and pay. AgentNet is where you become both: a machine-readable, x402-payable provider on the new AI shelf.

Why this matters for your business

Your customer's next search is a robot. That robot doesn't scroll, guess, or trust a logo — it reads structured product data and settles payments in milliseconds. Two things just changed this week:

Put those together and you have a real, open distribution channel: be legible to the machine, and get paid by the machine. That's the store AgentNet builds.

What is x402 — in 30 seconds

x402 revives the long-dormant HTTP 402 Payment Required status code into a live payment standard. A typical flow:

  1. An AI agent requests a product or service from your server.
  2. Your server replies 402 with machine-readable payment terms (price, network, destination).
  3. The agent signs a stablecoin payment and retries the request.
  4. Payment settles onchain; you get the resource delivered and the agent gets its answer.

No API keys to manage per buyer, no subscription billing, no chargebacks on a micropay. It's the first payment rail designed for the way agents actually transact: small, fast, programmatic.

How AgentNet works
